Taylor is currently a working professional in the Toronto dance scene that trains, performs, and teaches in the community. Through the years in Taylor's career, she has been brought with opportunities to dance for Canadian music artists such as Rêve, Nano Talrose, Tara Lord, and Shawn Desman. Not only has she been a main back up dancer for some of these artist music videos, but has also gotten the chance to perform live with them at various events like CanFar Charity Event (2023) and OnTheFloor’s Sick Kids Gala.
Taylor's live stage performances have not been limited to these experiences, but she has been a frequent dancer in many of Toronto's choreographer showcases such as Fever After Dark, Studio North's Studio 6 Show, and Unite Showcase. Taylor played a pivotal role in MOVMNT Collective’s most recent company shows; SHADOWS and The Warm Up run under the direction of Leah Totten. Taylor was able to showcase her Contemporary training at Toronto's premier international dance festival- Fall For Dance North (2024) under the choreographic work of Dawson Lloyd this past season. Just shortly after, Taylor traveled to present her commercial and hip hop training in Los Angeles, California with Kode Red to perform at Choreographers Carnival Dance Showcase, presenting work from company director Jac Villaquette.
Taylor continues to pave her way through the industry using her talents and skills to create opportunities and attract them to be a part of work that values art, self discovery and empowerment in her community. Taylor hopes to pass down these values to this next generation of students she has had the privilege to share her experiences and art with. Taylor wants to continue creating safe spaces to encourage young artists to tap into their potential and share the joy of dance. She is ecstatic to see what is next for her in her journey that has been nothing but fulfilling thus far.
In Taylor’s youth, she trained extensively in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, musical theatre, and tap as a competitive dancer. 8 years of competitive training helped Taylor gain additional dance opportunities in her young years. She performed internationally in Portugal to compete in the Dance World Cup, winning a silver medal with her contemporary team, developed her ballet technique in Buffalo, New York for a few years at only 13, and became a member of her region's hip hop crew, H3 Niagara in her teenage years; helping her curate a very diverse and well rounded dance background.
After graduating from high school, Taylor then went on to learn from the post secondary commercial training program; Intrepid Dance Company ran under Mitchell Jackson and Derek Piquette (2022-2023). Her year training at Intrepid provided her with the opportunity to train under some of the industry’s top names like Jac Valiquette, Linda Garneau, Alisha Lucchese, Tara Pillion and Derick Robinson that helped develop Taylor's skill sets rapidly. The program brought in great teachers and working professionals including Dominic Cooper Clark, Amanda Donato, Jordan Clark, Kevin and Micheal Scheitzbach, and Ocean Cardwell that Taylor had the privilege to work closely with.
