So where to begin….in fall 2019 we headed into a new season after celebrating DFX 25th Anniversary with a “full deck of cards” (literally, for those who know what I mean;) and we were gearing up to play our biggest hands with our elite competitive DFX Team. Thanks to Covid our team hasn’t performed or competed since spring 2019!! Two years and two months in the making… A season that never ended… routines that never got seen or hit the stage-ever…costumes that were never worn… costumes that dancers were trying to squeeze in two years later…so many obstacles in between… A true roller coaster of ups and downs, ins and outs, a constantly changing team roster, injuries, heartaches and memories never made. We were only in the studio for one month this year. We finally got the green light that LIVE events were happening…could this actual be true!?! No one believed it… we have been through this so many times before… and now in just a few short weeks we had to prepare these dancers under such distress and chaos. But this weekend, our team finally got to hit that stage and compete in two back to back competitions. 200 routines in two days….100 routines per day, dancers running marathons of costume changes, with no help….true DFX STARS on and off the stage.
But the end result…AMAZING!!! They say it takes a village…and it sure does….thanks to my amazing teaching crew, staff, supportive parents and of course our dynamic dancers…we went, we danced and the results show DFX still shined brighter than ever.
So many accomplishments and accolades and special awards. A very emotional weekend for so many “REASONS”. Here are the OVERALL AWARDS from BEDAZZLED DANCE CHAMPIONS. 20 studios competed here and here’s what happened with OVERALLS…we must of really “DAZZLED” some of those judges…?!?!?
