EMILY ELIA
Instructor/Choreographer
Miss Emily has been dancing for 18 years and competing in all styles since she was 7. Emily has a love for all styles of dance that has been passed down from mentors including Matthew “Baby Boy” Cruz and David Cox. Dance allowed for Emily to learn from one of her greatest inspirations, Tiffani Beauparlent. She learned about the cultural and business aspects of dance outside of the movement itself which truly opened her up to the big beautiful world of dance. Emily plans to graduate in the Spring of 2024 from McMaster University from the Honours BA. History program with a minor in Cultural Studies. Following this, she plans to pursue her Masters of Education at Brock University. Inspired by the values instilled by her high school teacher and coach, she aspires to build a career that blends dance and high school teaching.
Outside of dance Miss Emily also has a love for community service and served as Miss Club Italia 2017 and continued to branch out with the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre Youth Council. Emily is currently the Social Outreach Coordinator for the MacDance executive team where her joint passion for dance and community service are combined!
You can also catch Miss Emily on court with the Niagara Riverlions DancePak for her second season this upcoming summer!
Miss Emily can’t wait to continue to grow and instil positivity in the studio as well as build the confidence and determination of her students!
